For our narrative in the cafe we want to create a bright and colorful mood meaning the characters will be in bright colored tops. Using bright colors against a beige or dark background makes it an eye catching Mise en scene and also shows the colorful theme throughout our video. Mixing bright and dark together gives a feel of both a happy and sad emotions which fits with the sound and lyrics to our song as her feelings in the lyrics are up and down, kind of like realising that she needs to g

Location

We chose a cafe as one of our locations because it is a sociable atmosphere where the characters can have conversation. We chose to shoot our performance footage in the recording studio as we thought it would be a good way to establish the friendship between the group at the beginning of the music video; it will also create breaks between the narrative so that it doesn't become tedious. We are going to use a home setting for the part of our video where the two girls are comforting her friend as a home is a most peoples comfort zone where they can speak about what is on their mind and be relaxed.

PAJAMA COSTUMES?

In our video we wanted to show a slumber party scene. Pajamas are perfect for this scene because they are very comfy and relate to the scene we are creating. The colours would be very simple a different style for each of the girls to show off what sort of personality they have. Who ever would wear these would be a very innocent, sweet girl.  










      This costume sets a different personality to the character in the scene, something we could carry out throughout the scene. she would be more daring and confident because she is showing more of their body.

In our music video we want to have some footage shot in a recording studio, then the narrative in places like a cafe/public places  and a house so its more life like and more interesting with the mise en scene.

COSTUMES !

This could be a possible outfit for the studio singing. Keeping it plain and simple buy using a colourful scarve to make it eye catching against a black or white black top and also making sure it stands out from the back drop. I think this part of the video will be quite bright and have good ligting so its a clear and simple close up shot. For our performance shots in the recording studio, costumes will be casual eg. jeans and vest tops. Our colour theme here will be black, white and grey as this will be shot in black and white.

Katy perry- Rockgod- at first we liked this song because it was a fast and upbeat song that we could use fast and quick edits creating a fun and lively atmousphere.

Keke J- Crush-  This song  is a typical girly stereotyped song as its about a girl liking a guy  but he doesnt feel the same way and shes singing.


After listening to both songs and writing down ideas for both we came to a decission that the artists Keke J would be a good choice for us as we can relate to the lyrics and create a good narrative for the video. We also liked it because as she is an unsigned artists we have a wide range of ideas for the video as there hasnt been one made yet.

We chose this music video as a n example of what we may want to base our own music video on. We liked the way the lyrics were involved within the music video as it created a really good narrative and flowed well with the style of music.
